KUALA LUMPUR: The water supply to all 861 areas in seven areas affected by water cuts on Tuesday has fully stabilised at 3am today, said Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor).
Air Selangor in a statement said, "We would like to thank consumers for their patience and cooperation given to Air Selangor's frontline staff in all affected regions."
The taps of households in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor ran dry after operations at four Water Treatment Plants (WTPs) were halted on Monday night due to raw water pollution at Sungai Selangor.
The WTPs, Rantau Panjang Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and Sungai Selangor Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3, however, resumed operations at 3.30am and 5am on Tuesday.
The resumption was allowed after a reading of 0 TON (Threshold Odour Number) was recorded three consecutive times.
