More comprehensive measures to be unveiled next week

PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin will unveil a more "comprehensive" economic stimulus package and assistance for the people on Mar 30.
The additional measures that will be announced next Monday, said Muhyiddin, will include medium-term efforts to strengthen the nation’s financial position.
“With the additional measures that will be introduced and implemented by the government, I hope it will improve the wellbeing of the people apart from strengthening the economy of the country.
“As the country is facing this crisis, what is important is for all of us to work together in consensus and remain strong in finding the solution to all of our woes,” he said.
The Finance Ministry, said Muhyiddin, is currently looking into more comprehensive ways to help the people as the country goes all out in preventing Covid-19 from further escalating.
“The government is looking into necessary ways to provide assistance to all regardless if you are a small trader, taxi driver, farmer, fisherman, breeder, factory worker, private sector employee or civil servants,” he said.
