Malaysia’s population set to rise to 33.2 million in 2022

KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): Malaysia’s total population is projected to rise to 33.2 million in 2022, with a forecast annual growth rate of 1.2% for the 2020 to 2025 period, according to the United Nations (UN).

吉隆坡（7 月 12 日）：据联合国（UN）称，马来西亚的总人口预计将在 2022 年增至 3320 万，预计 2020 年至 2025 年期间的年增长率为 1.2%。

Malaysia’s population was recorded at 32.7 million in 2021, from 27.5 million in 2010.

马来西亚的人口从 2010 年的 2750 万增加到 2021 年的 3270 万。

In its World Population Dashboard released on Monday 11st July , the UN said Malaysia’s population breakdown will be 0-14 years making up 23%, those 15-64 years of age at 69%, while the elderly aged 65 and above will total 8% in 2022.

联合国在7月11日发布的世界人口仪表板中表示，马来西亚的人口细分将是0-14岁占23％，15-64岁占69％，而65岁及以上的老年人将占总数2022 年为 8%。

The life expectancy for males born in 2022 is 75 years, while for females it is 79 years.

2022年出生的男性预期寿命为75岁，而女性为79岁。

Education 教育

According to the UN data, for 2010 to 2020, the total net enrolment rate for primary education was at 99%, while lower secondary was at 88% and upper secondary 64%.

根据联合国数据，2010年至2020年，小学教育总净入学率为99%，初中为88%，高中为64%。
