Football match raises funds for heart patient

PAGOH: A friendly football match was organised here to raise funds for the surgery of five-year old heart patient Noor Shahira Azmi.

The match between "Memerang Jayor FC" and "Winkwink Panchor FC" ended in a 3-3 draw.

"We hope that this can assist little Noor Shahira with her surgery. I am pleased to see youths of Pagoh come together to successfully organise this event," said Datuk Tahir Taat, special officer to Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yasin. Tahir had initiated the donation drive.

Players and officials chipped in and donations were also sought among spectators during the match and others in the vicinity.

All donations were handed directly to Noor Shahira's father, A.Azmi Bin Ani, and his wife, who were present during the match.
