Ex-Ipoh mayor appointed as new state secretary

IPOH: Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim has been appointed as the state secretary, effective today.

The former Ipoh mayor is replacing Datuk Zainal Azman Abu Seman who had been transferred to the Public Service Department (PSD) in Putrajaya.

State Secretary's Corporate Division in a statement today said Ahmad Suaidi first joined the Administration and Diplomatic Service (PTD) on Jan 15, 1996.

The 49-year-old who hails from Pantai Remis is also the former Selangor deputy state secretary (development), Selangor Land and Mines Department director; and Hulu Selangor and Gombak district officer.

Ahmad Suaidi has a Master’s Degree in Global Information and Telecommunication from Waseda University in Japan and Bachelor’s Degree in Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia.

Yesterday, Ahmad Suaidi paid a courtesy call to Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu in Kuala Lumpur.
