SHAH ALAM: More than three million consumers in seven areas in the Klang Valley will be affected by a four-day scheduled water disruption beginning Tuesday (July 23) to make way for upgrading works at the Sungai Selangor Water Treatment (WTP) Plant Phase 1.

The affected areas are Petaling, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat, Kuala Selangor, and Kuala Lumpur.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement said the upgrading works, which would commence at 9am on Tuesday, was to improve water supply to Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.

“The WTP will be shut down to facilitate the improvement works. The duration of disruption and supply recovery will differ from area to area, depending on their geography and altitude,” it said.

Air Selangor added 15 local service centres would be activated on July 25 at 8am.
