Malaysia's manufacturing sales value up 24.4 % to RM157.4 bln in August - DOSM

Malaysia’s manufacturing sales value in August 2022 expanded 24.4 % to RM157.4 billion.

马来西亚 2022 年 8 月的制造业销售额增长 24.4% 至 1574 亿令吉。

The better performance was driven by the subsectors of electrical and electronics (E&E), petroleum, chemicals, rubber and plastics as well as food, beverage and tobacco products.

电气和电子 (E&E)、石油、化工、橡胶和塑料以及食品、饮料和烟草产品等子行业推动了更好的表现。

The E&E products subsector contributed 25.8 % to the sales value; petroleum, chemicals, rubber and plastic products subsector (27.6 %), and the food, beverage and tobacco products subsector (18.4 %), according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DoSM).

电子电气产品子行业对销售额的贡献率为 25.8%；根据马来西亚统计局（DoSM）的数据，石油、化工、橡胶和塑料产品子行业（27.6%）以及食品、饮料和烟草产品子行业（18.4%）。

The total number of employees engaged in the manufacturing sector in August 2022 was 2.31 million persons, an increase of 4.3 % compared to 2.2 million persons in August 2021.

2022年8月制造业从业人员总数为231万人，比2021年8月的220万人增长4.3%。

“The increment was contributed by the E&E products (6.9 %), wood, furniture, paper products and printing (4.9 %) and non-metallic mineral products, basic metal and fabricated metal products (3.2 %),” it said in a statement on 12th October.

在10月12日的一份声明中描述：“增长来自电子电气产品（6.9%）、木材、家具、纸制品和印刷（4.9%）和非金属矿产品、基本金属和金属制品（3.2%）。”

DOSM noted that salaries and wages paid amounted to RM7.77 billion, an increase of 7.5 % in August 2022 against the same month of the preceding year.

DOSM 指出，2022 年 8 月支付的薪金和工资总额为 77.7 亿令吉，比去年同期增长 7.5%。

The sales value per employee rose by 19.3 % to record RM68,174 compared to the same month in 2021 while the average salaries and wages per employee were RM3,365.

与 2021 年同月相比，每位员工的销售额增长 19.3% 至 68,174 令吉，而每位员工的平均薪水为 3,365 令吉。

For the period of January to August 2022, the sales value of the manufacturing sector jumped 17.4 % to RM1.16 billion compared to the same period in 2021.

在 2022 年 1 月至 2022 年 8 月期间，制造业的销售额与 2021 年同期相比跃升 17.4% 至 11.6 亿令吉。

“At the same time, the number of employees increased 4.3 % to 2.31 million persons while salaries and wages expanded 5.3 % to RM62.3 billion.

“与此同时，员工人数增加 4.3% 至 231 万人，而薪金和工资则增加 5.3% 至 623 亿令吉。

“Meanwhile, the sales value per employee recorded RM504,321 for the similar period of 2022 with a growth of 12.5 % year-on-year,” it added.

“与此同时，每名员工的销售额在 2022 年同期录得 504,321 令吉，同比增长 12.5%。”
