Malaysia export volume index rises 7.7% on-month in August

The export volume index increased 7.7 % in August 2022 compared with July, contributed by the rise in miscellaneous manufactured articles (11.9 %), machinery and transport equipment (7.9 %), as well as mineral fuels (7.8 %).

2022年8月出口量指数较7月增长7.7%，主要得益于杂项制成品（11.9%）、机械和运输设备（7.9%）以及矿物燃料（7.8%）的上升。

According to the external trade statistics for August 2022 released today by the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM), the seasonally adjusted export volume index increased 16.5 % to 188.8 points in August, from 162.1 points in July.

根据马来西亚统计局（DOSM）今天发布的2022年8月对外贸易统计数据，经季节性调整的出口量指数从7月份的162.1点上涨16.5%至8月份的188.8点。

However, the export unit value index fell 2.2 % in August 2022 versus the previous month, attributed to the decreases in the index of animals and vegetable oils and fats (18.4 %), mineral fuels (1.5 %), and manufactured goods (0.6 %), it said in a statement.

然而，2022年8月出口单位价值指数与上个月相比下降了2.2%，归因于动植物油脂（18.4%），矿物燃料（1.5%）和制成品（0.6%）指数下降。

DOSM said the import volume index rose 7.1 % in August against July, contributed by the rise in mineral fuels (27.3 %), miscellaneous manufactured articles (9.4 %), and machinery and transport equipment (2.4 %).

DOSM表示，8月份进口量指数较7月份上涨7.1%，这是由于矿物燃料（27.3%），杂项制成品（9.4%）以及机械和运输设备（2.4%）的上升。

The seasonally adjusted import volume index increased 9.1 % to 213.7 points in August 2022, from 195.8 points in July 2022.

经季节性调整的进口量指数从2022年7月的195.8点上升9.1%至2022年8月的213.7点。

The import unit value index fell 1.9 % in August 2022 versus the previous month, attributed to the decreases in mineral fuels (10.1 %), animals and vegetable oils and fats (4.2 %), as well as chemicals (0.4 %).

2022年8月进口单位价值指数较上月下跌1.9%，归咎于矿物燃料（10.1%）、动植物油脂（4.2%）以及化学品（0.4%）的下跌。

Overall, Malaysia’s terms of trade eased in August 2022, falling by 0.2 % month-on-month to 111.9 points, DOSM said.

DOSM表示，总体而言，马来西亚的贸易条件在2022年8月有所放松，环比下降0.2%至111.9点。
