China will do more to enhance bilateral ties and people-to-people contact — Wang Yi
KUALA LUMPUR (July 12): China is ready to import more palm oil, tropical fruits and other agricultural products from Malaysia, said China State Councillor and Foreign Affairs Minister Wang Yi.
吉隆坡（7月12日）：中国国务委员兼外交部长王毅表示，中国准备从马来西亚进口更多的棕榈油、热带水果和其他农产品。
Wang, who is on his two-day official visit to Malaysia starting 11st July, said China will also make arrangements for the first group of Malaysian students to return to China and resume their studies as soon as possible.
王毅于7月11日开始对马来西亚进行为期两天的正式访问，他表示，中方还将尽快安排第一批马来西亚学生回国复学。
He said both sides also planned for a significant increase in the number of direct flights between China and Malaysia, in line with the aspiration of the people of both countries.
他说，双方还计划大幅增加中马直航班次，这符合两国人民的愿望。
“We're confident as the Covid-19 situation continues to be managed, the people of our two countries can visit each other as often as possible, as members and relatives of the families,” said Wang on the efforts in enhancing all spheres of bilateral ties and people-to-people contact.
“我们有信心，随着 Covid-19 局势继续得到控制，我们两国人民可以作为家庭成员和亲属尽可能多地互访，”王说双边关系和民间交往。
He said this during a joint press conference with his Malaysian counterpart Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah which was held after their bilateral meeting.

Wang said both countries will also leverage the opportunities offered by the 10th Anniversary of the Establishment of China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park, to put in place a pilot zone for innovative economic and trade cooperation as well as a demonstration of production capacity cooperation of the Belt and Road Initiative.
王毅表示，两国还将以中马钦州工业园成立10周年为契机，建设创新经贸合作试验区和“一带一路”产能合作示范区。和道路倡议。
“We will foster new growth point in digital economy and other areas so that we can jointly improve our competitiveness and level of development,” he said.
“我们将在数字经济等领域培育新的增长点，共同提高我们的竞争力和发展水平，”他说。
Wang said he and Saifuddin also discussed Malaysia-China Blueprints for connectivity and will redouble efforts to advance the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project and the development of areas along the line.
王说，他和赛夫丁还讨论了马中互联互通蓝图，并将加倍努力推进东海岸铁路（ECRL）项目和沿线地区的发展。
“We will stay in communication on the construction of the Singapore-Malaysia railway,” he added.
他补充说：“我们将就新马铁路的建设保持沟通。”
He said both countries also looked forward to the completion of the central line of the Pan-Asian railway link to achieve interconnected development and speed up the process of regional integration through the connectivity of China, Laos and Thailand railways.
他表示，两国也期待泛亚铁路中心线建成，通过中老泰铁路互联互通，实现互联互通发展，加快区域一体化进程。
On a lighter note, Wang said he was impressed with the Musang King cheesecake served during his meeting with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob on 12th July 12.
王说，他在7月12日与首相拿督斯里Ismail Sabri Yaakob会面时，对猫山王芝士蛋糕印象深刻。
“Well, this morning I had a working lunch. The prime minister served Musang King cheesecake as dessert, which is so delicious. And I'm so impressed,” he said.
“嗯，今天早上我吃了工作午餐。首相端上猫山王芝士蛋糕当甜点，太好吃了。我印象非常深刻，”他说。
