Palestinians residing in the country are distressed over the ongoing Israeli attacks that saw scores of civilians dead and many others injured.
They were reminded of their own experience of military airstrikes on the Gaza Strip and other aggressions at the West Bank of the country.
One of them, Saed Jumaidi, 35, said for instance, his wife and two daughters witnessed Israeli soldiers patrolling the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound with rifles, during the month of Ramadan.
"Since then, my daughters were afraid to even go out of the house, let alone to visit neighbours and this is when their soldiers are not even attacking.

"I could not imagine those who have to face it every day for the past week or so. Some were beaten by the soldiers. The situation there is serious," he told New Straits Times in a telephone interview yesterday.

"They are not only attacking Gaza but have now expanded (their attacks) to other areas."
Palestine Cultural Organisation Malaysia chairman Muslim Imran was anxious when his father went to the Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform the lailatul qadr prayers when the Israeli military were there to shove the congregations away.
Imran panicked when seeing the news updates and frantically made calls to his father's mobile phone.
"My father did not answer my calls and that worried me tremendously. Alhamdulillah, my mother later told me that my father was fine and returned home safely.
"My heart aches whenever I think of the safety of Palestinians there. The brutality endured is our struggle.
"We are not asking Malaysia to send its troops there and fight with us, but the least the people can do here is by showing support. It is the bare minimum of what we can do."
Last week, the Israelis attacked Palestinian civilians and worshippers when performing prayers during the month of Ramadan.
The Israeli military had renewed its bombardment on the Gaza Strip, targeting several areas after rockets were fired from the enclave.
The new attacks came hours after at least 24 Palestinians, including nine children, were killed in overnight Israeli airstrikes on the strip after the Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas, launched rockets from the coastal territory towards Israel.
The rocket fire came after Hamas issued an ultimatum demanding that Israel stand down its security forces from the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem after days of violence against Palestinians.
